Happy New Year!
Just got back home from Germany today where I spent the holidays with my family. I have to admit I was a little bit lazy over there and didn't really check my emails or spent much time online. Just hung out with my family and friends and it felt good to be lazy for a while!
The beginning of a new year is always about making new year resolutions that a lot of people don't keep anyways. For the new year I did not make any because I'm not good at sticking to them. Maybe that would be something I should put on my resolution list for 2013 ;) This year I just want to finish the projects below, take an upholstery class, go horseback riding more often and overall just enjoy life and my little projects. Sometimes it's the small(er) things that make us happy...
Did you make any new years resolutions? Have you been good about keeping them?

Thanks! Had a great start into 2012 :) Looking forward to whatever the new year brings...
ReplyDeleteWelcome back Nina! Glad to hear you had such a great (and relaxing) time over the holidays. Can't wait to see how your projects turn out this year! PS- If you find an upholstery class, let me know!
ReplyDeleteoh some yummy items above - what are you going to do with them? And more importantly where did you find them!
ReplyDeleteThanks Santa! I emailed you some info about the classes I found.
ReplyDeleteMary, the plan is to reupholster the chairs and to refinish the dresser. The dresser was painted but the wood underneath looks so much nicer. Hopefully I will finish this one soon.
I found the chairs on the left on the side of our street on trash day. One man's trash is another man's treasure ;) The dresser and the Saarinen chair were lucky finds on my local craigslist.
a laidback, lazy holiday is awesome! happy holidays and happy new year! your projects look amazing, they have beautiful bones. excited to see the outcome. xxx

ReplyDeleteThanks Ada! Good New Years resolution! Weather in Germany was really bad, it was raining almost every day but that made it much easier to stay inside and be lazy ;)
