week thirty five

Last week was not off to the greatest start with me being sick but it ended pretty sweet with a trip to Pittsburgh. We left Thursday after work and stayed in Pittsburgh until Sunday morning, when we headed to Kentuck Knob, a house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright for Bernardine and I.N. Hagan. After our tour of Kentuck Knob ended we headed over to Fallingwater, which we toured in more detail. We had booked the afternoon in-depth tour, which was great because after our tour ended the grounds were closed and we had time to take photos of the exterior without any people. I do not like random people in my shots and always wait until they leave ;) Got back yesterday and am working to get a post about my trip done for the end of the week...

How did you guys spent the (long) weekend?

  1. Oh can't wait to read that post - I've always been a fan of that house (who hasn't?!). This weekend was full of family and food, just the way I like it!

    1. Sounds like you had a great weekend! The house was even more impressive in person than on photos...

  2. Converse twins! It sounds like a fun weekend, I can't wait to see pictures. Totally agree with you about waiting for the tourists to leave the shot. I do that constantly! Welcome home :)

  3. Can't wait to see your pics. Funny I tried waiting out some tourists over the weekend, but the "random folks" were just not budging. Finally I just said "...going to have to do some 'photoshopping'" Glad you're feeling better!

    1. When they don't leave I always take little detail shots so I don't have to bother with them ;) But on the other hand I might be one of those people that photo bombs other peoples shots as well ;)

  4. I'd love to eat in a Wiener world :D
I also hate having random dudes in my photos, but sometimes it's not easily avoided.

  5. Ah, looks like we can all agree that we don't like random folks in our photos. Is that a blogger thing perhaps? :) Happy to read that your weekend was a success, and can't wait to read the upcoming post on your trip.
