week forty one

Where did you go week forty one? Didn't you just start?

This past week was filled with lots of  work but also lots of fun. On Tuesday P and I went to see Public Image Ltd and I think I am still deaf on one ear from the concert, as it was so loud but in case of concerts loud is good! On Thursday on my way out the office to grab lunch I stumbled across a homeless chair and because I liked how it looks I dragged it back to the office. I grabbed it just as the garbage truck stopped in front of them. Friday I took it home with me on the train and had P pick me up at the station. Most of my Saturday was spent looking for new tiles and fixtures for our upcoming bathroom and powder room remodel. Some of our tile we picked out was special order and they should arrive this week. Of course I will write about the renovation in more detail soon. Yesterday we had a warm and sunny fall day and P and I spent the day walking the highline and even were able to access the undeveloped part of it that will be opening in 2014...

How was your week/weekend?

  1. I really loved following you on the gram this week. And guess what?! Your talking too must have worked, because our bathroom guys showed on Sunday. We're finally in the home stretch! I still have another one to do, so I expect to get much inspiration from you!

    1. Hooray! Good that the contractors showed up. We won't start until the beginning of November but I have to plan everything before our contractor gets here. The hardest decisions so far are bath tub and toilet...

  2. Nina, there were these chairs that were sitting near the dumpster at my apartment complex and I thought about you and how you would completely do a rehaul on them. Wish I had your type of skills :)

  5. I swear, you find the BEST chairs on the street! I think I've only seen like, 2 chairs on the streets here my whole life and neither of them were cute or mid-century! You have to teach me your tricks. So happy that you had a good time at the concert, hope your hearing comes back soon :)

  6. Another awesome chair that has found it's way to No. 40! The trip to IKEA also looks like it was a definite success. Have a great Week 42!

    1. Thank you! I don't even know when to work on all those chairs I haul home. Maybe if we get an icy winter I can hang out in our basement a lot...

  7. What a great find! I love that chair. We definitely share an addiction, I mean, a love for chairs! You know, we are already clamoring for before-and-after shots of your bathroom renovation. If it turns out anything like the rest of your home (which it will), it's going to be good. Happy new week, Nina!
