As I mentioned before in this post
I am a big fan of tea, especially now that the temperatures dropped and
it is getting chillier by the day. Tea just warms me up from the inside. I have a big fat cold and have been
sipping tea all day long yesterday and thought I'd share a little
round up of cups/mugs I would love to sip my tea from...
What is your go to cold remedy that makes you feel better?
What is your go to cold remedy that makes you feel better?
Jäger tea :D
ReplyDeleteWell, really, hot blackcurrant juice.
Tea makes my stomach feel empty, which I don't like.
Oh! there is a räsymatto mug, did not know.
Räsymatto means rag rug by the way.
Hot blackcurrant juice sounds interesting, I should give that a try. Thanks for providing the translation for räsymatto, I thought it might mean something.
DeleteI love number 5 and 7. I love cups, I also collect them.
ReplyDeleteI am a big collector of cups too!
DeleteA lovely selection - and I particularly like 6 & 7.
ReplyDeleteI always squeeze a fresh lemon, put boiling water on it and then add a teaspoon of manuka honey for a cold. Hope you feel better soon.
Hot lemon is such a great way to boost your vitamin c intake! 6 & 7 are my favorites too!
DeleteOh no, not again Nina! Ginger tea always helps me- homemade: boil a piece of ginger root, a stick of cinnamon and for really bad colds, add a half of lime.
ReplyDeleteThe Korean supermarket H Mart also sells a yummy ginger tea in a jar that comes in some sort of marmalade.
On the mugs, 4,6 & 7 for me!
I think I never got rid of my cold in the first place and now it came back. Boo! Haven't had homemade ginger tea in forever, I am definitely trying this! And looking out for the stuff in a jar at H Mart.
DeleteYikes, I hope your cold (physical and in home) goes away soon. For colds, I go straight for the drugs (haha) .. tylenol / Robitussin/ etc. Then chicken soup always makes me feel better, that simple relaxed time to sip soup (yum). I hope you FEEL BETTER sooooooooooooon!
ReplyDeleteLuckily the house is warm again, I on the other hand have trouble to stay warm...Chicken soup always works for warming me up!
DeleteI am all about the 6th and 7th mug - hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteThanks rooth! Love 6 & 7 too!
DeleteI'm with Rooth, those last two are fab! Is there a handle on #6? I always go for hot tea with honey or lemon, comfy sweat pants and lots and lots of sleep! Sleep is my favorite cure :) When all else fails, marathons of tv on the couch are a suitable alternative. Hope you feel better soon!!
ReplyDeleteThere is no handle on #6, which makes it perfect for warming both your hands while wrapping them around the cup ;) I can never get enough sleep and totally agree with you that rest is the best cure!
DeleteNice roundup, Nina. I especially like #7. I have to go with black & white graphic.
ReplyDeleteYep, I've caught something nasty, as well. It started as a tiny tickle in my throat last Friday night, and is now a full-blown, dry-coughing-attack cold. I sound like a seal when I cough! It's really fun at night when I'm trying to sleep. I've been drinking lots of water, sucking on Ricola non-stop, and taking NyQuil at night. You just reminded me that I should probably switch from coffee to hot water, lemon, and honey. It will soothe my agitated throat. Feel better!
I hope you are feeling better! NyQuil is something I like taking for a good nights sleep as well, I usually snooze off after 20-30 minutes after taking it.
DeleteI've never quite taken to tea but I am an absolute coffee fiend! The moustache mug is my favourite by far! Hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteAll cups work equally great for coffee ;)
DeleteI drink tea every day in the winter. Something about the act of heating up the kettle just warms me up (oh heavenly steam!). My desk is in front of a set of floor to ceiling windows, which is lovely but chilly. Because I drink at my desk I tend to use tervis tumblers with lids (scared of spilling), and I love them for the car. BUT. Not pretty. And they keep the stuff so hot that I almost always burn my tongue. So, maybe I'll ignore the safety concerns and take #3 or #6, please!
ReplyDeleteI burn my tongue a lot because I am always too eager to have the first sip ;)
Deletei will pass this post along to a friend of mine who owns a market - she was asking me to help her find some mugs to sell in her shop, i had no luck when looking but i am loving all these ones that you found! for colds, i use hot water, with lemon, honey, cayenne pepper and apple cider vinger (just a splash of all of the above in a cup of steaming water).
ReplyDeleteThanks Christine! And your cold remedy sounds pretty interesting I might give it a try, I have apple vinegar at home...
Delete4,7 and 6 are my favorites. My top tea right now is Green Tee Lemon, just awesome and the cheap label from Target tastes surprisingly best.
