week forty six

Another week has passed...I thought I would be catching up on all my little projects during that week but my cold really knocked me out on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday I stayed home from work and basically slept all day. On Saturday we solved our toilet dilemma and purchased two at Lowes. After shopping at Lowes and a quick stop at Target (see preview of my loot in the last photo) we ate lunch at Five Guys. It was my first food in days and a burger with fries never tasted so good. And I discovered soda fountain heaven there, they have a soda machine that can mix I don't know how many different kinds. I wish I could have tried them all, my stomach could only handle Diet Coke Lime and Peach Fanta. Yum! When we got home I was ready for another nap and the rest of the weekend we only relaxed at home. Now I finally started to feel like myself again, I was already getting annoyed with myself for being so whiny the last two weeks...

This week will be a very short work week for a lot of us because Thursday is Thanksgiving and Friday I have a day off. Four day weekend! Hooray! Hope you all have a great start into the new week!

  1. Oh no! I'm so sorry that cold really, really got you. Isn't Five Guys great? Sometimes a burger is the only thing that will do. A long weekend (and perhaps more shopping?!) is just the thing to get you really recovered! Keep feeling better, dear.

  2. What a pain that you felt so rotten for so long! Don't even apologize if you think you were whiny, you had a cold! You're entitled to be whiny :) I've never eaten at Five Guys, can you believe it?? I love your Target loot, is that pillow from their Shoppes at Target collaboration? Super cute, love the colors.

  5. Is that the Five Guys on Tonelle Ave? I've never seen one of those machines at any other Five Guys (but I have to say I am fascinated). And you are totally entitled to be whinny when you feel crappy. But, glad to hear you're feeling a little better. Hooray for short weeks!

  8. We missed out on five guys when we visited last year but it was on my list! Glad you are feeling better - I think you have every right to be a bit 'whiny' when you have had such a crazy couple of weeks!

  9. Don't call yourself whiny, this cold was a tough one. If yours was anything like the one that just ran through each member of our family (my daughter is the last one battling it right now), then I can understand why it knocked you out. Keep getting lots of rest, that seems to work really well. Hooray for a short week! Hang in there, Nina.
PS~Even with a cold, you managed to wear some cute outfits, drink fun soda, and acquire cool loot from Target. So, the week wasn't totally wasted. ;)
