Another week went by super fast...
I started filling up the picture frames I got at IKEA last week. Started my chair upholstery project and bought myself a new camera. I only browsed amazon for a new tripod because my old one broke but that one was already very old, my Dad probably bought it between 30-40 years ago and it was made in a country (GDR) that doesn't exist anymore. Still have to figure out the camera but already started playing with it. My biggest problem is that I am to impatient to read the manual and have learn by trial and error...

Yeah, you are showing that chair who is boss. I can't wait to see how it turns out!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the new camera!! I'm squealing excitedly for you! Love that print, too. That's from a calendar? Crazy.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to hear how you like your camera. I'm saving up for one and that is the model I've been looking at... enjoy your camera. Also, I love that print!
ReplyDeleteI actually did a little happy dance around the box from amazon after it arrived ;) Leah, I will let you know how I like the camera once I know how to use it.
ReplyDeleteThe print is from the Eames desk calendar 2002. Guess being a person who can't get rid of things that might be useful one day is sometimes a good thing...
I really like the chair print. And I totally hear you on the camera/manual situation. I keep telling myself I am going to read mine...it's been about two years now.
ReplyDeleteYes, the chair print wins. Love it.
ReplyDeleteLike you, I got a new camera (for Christmas) and haven't read the manual. (Hm, I'm sensing a bad trend here.) However, that hasn't stopped me from taking a ton of pictures. I'm just playing with it and feeling my way through at this point. I just know if I took the time to study, one picture wouldn't take me 20 tries. Have fun with your new baby.
I'm exactly the same, I hardly ever read the manual and then get annoyed when I discover features I never knew about 2 years down the line! I have to agree with other comments and say that I totally adore the chair print!
ReplyDeleteGood to hear that I'm not the only one who doesn't read the manual :)
ReplyDeleteHooray for your new camera! SO exciting! I find the manuals to those things invaluable but next to impossible to read. UGH. It'll be worth it if you can dig through it, but I feel your pain! You made a great choice in cameras, by the way...Have fun. And I love your calendar art too!
ReplyDeleteLauren, I also got two books about the camera and photographing in general. The manual is always just way to dry for me to read. Now I just need to start reading and practicing.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on you new camera - I need to a get a new one too. Your framed piece of art looks lovely!
