week thirteen

As I already mentioned on Friday I snug away for a little vacation in sunny Fort Myers beach. It was great to unwind and not think about work and the daily grind back at home. Although I felt rested when I got back I feel very tired now and have a hard time getting back into the groove of things. On Friday I fell asleep shortly after 10pm and woke up the next day after 12 hours which is really unusual for me because I don't like to sleep too long on weekends because I won't be able to get much done. I will get antsy at around 8am and have to get up no matter what time I went to bed the night before. Hopefully I will get my mojo back this week...

  2. That mango margarita looks SO good right about now (and yes, I know it's only 11am on a Monday :)

I'm glad you had a good time! It must have been so refreshing. That little birdy is just too cute. I definitely don't have the same issue sleeping late as you do, haha. If no one disturbs me, I could probably sleep for 15 hours straight. Ahh, that sounds nice!

  3. It made my heart ache a little bit when I read that you've been to Florida in your last post...but it makes me feel homesick when I read that you've been to Fort Myers Beach. My grandparents used to have a vacation home there and somehow this place always felt like home to me. More than the place I grew up. Unfortunately my grandparents sold their house there some years ago...

  4. Santa, too bad that vacations have to end ;)

Erin, the Margarita was delicious but of course I got brain freeze drinking it ;) I never had issues sleeping either but the last two years I can't sleep in anymore. They say you need less sleep with old age. Ha, ha...

Frau Haselmayer, Oh no! I don't like feeling homesick, have phases like that when I think about friends & family back in Germany. Maybe you get to go back there sometime again. I really enjoyed the beaches and the sun. You probably have been to Sanibel and Captiva islands then, which I thought were very lovely.
