KleinReid

On May 9th I went to an Open Studio Night in Long Island City and discovered the most amazing porcelain by KleinReid, which was founded by James Klein and David Reid. Their goods range from vases, lighting and serveware and has recently expanded into soft goods, jewelry and limited edition prints. They even approached their idol Eva Zeisel for a collaboration in the late 90s which resulted in their Eva line. Also love their new turned wood series for Herman Miller. Their website is definitely worth a visit!

  1. Their studio space looks amazing and I am loving the yellow porcelain(?) at the end.

  3. Ooh, wow. What a dangerous site to link to, for my wallet I mean! I love the trend of the inside of bowls and vases being painting a bright color. I love the curvy shapes of all the vases in that bottom left picture. They all fit together so well! Did you buy anything from the studio? I'd have a hard time walking out of there without a little something. I'm curious and intrigued by the Open Studio night, too!

  4. homestilo, the yellow pieces are porcelain and the studio space was amazing, it even had Manhattan views.

MsK, I like the silver pieces too!

Erin, Could have bought a ton but didn't buy anything. Might wish for something from their website for my birthday! I got the invite to the studio night through work and the other two studios were great too but I didn't take any photos..

  6. Nina, wow! How fun that you got to attend an open stuido night. I am a big Heath Ceramics fan, but I'm liking what I'm seeing of the KleinReid collection. Plus, these collaborations sound amazing. Am I in big trouble if I pop over to their site? I bet I'm going to become an instant fan.
