around the world

I have been dreaming about a trip to a foreign country in a while and hopefully in November or December P and I will be traveling for a week. Our idea is to stay in Tulum, Mexico and from there take a couple of day trips, to Chichen Itza for example. This trip has been on our mind for a while and I cannot wait to start planning. Until then I will tide myself over with some virtual trips and map inspired clothing and accessories. The print on the dress is a map of Paris, Erin you might like to know Carven made a whole line with the same fabric ranging from shoes, to tees and a Blazer. You can also sleep in Manhattan even though you might be somewhere else with the duvet cover from H&M, seriously we need to get the Home Collection from H&M in the US soon.

Are you planning any fun trips soon? And if you have ever been to Tulum or anywhere else in the Yucatan region I would be more than happy to hear about it.

  1. NO WAY! Why does it have to be so expensive?! I love all your picks, and I saw the bedding on the UK H&M site a few days ago and lamented just like you that we still don't have H&M home. heck, we don't even have H&M online shopping. Maybe they'll give us a double whammy?? xo

    1. Yup it's unfortunately very expensive but soooo pretty! Like you I am hoping for the double the fun when H&M is finally starting selling their goods online over here. I have been browsing their German online store and found so many home items I would buy in a heartbeat. xo

  2. I will be land locked for a while- so virtual trips will be right up my alley :-) Absolutely love the duvet. And the dress is just darling.

    1. Let's take some virtual trips together. We could travel the world in 8 days instead of 80 ;)

  3. Oh Tulum is on my list too! I have seen amazing pictures of Tulum. We are going this week to Germany. :) Looking forward so some "hanesatischen" summer. :) And I'm with you about the H&M home collection. Don#t understand why they don't have it yet.

  4. Just googled Tulum. Oh. my. god. It's top of my list now! I know we are heading off to Australia in less than a month but with all the stress and nerves, I feel like I need at least 2 weeks in Tulum to unwind! Love your round-up! I have had my eye on that bedding for a while now (I might just settle for the matching tea towels)!

    1. I bet you will need some time to unwind from all the stress of moving. You should try out all the beaches in Australia until you feel relaxed again ;) Have thought about getting the tea towels too, because my parents could bring them in their suitcase. Having them pack the duvet cover would be a little bit too heavy...

  6. Well, for starters, I just saw a tweet saying that H&M was selling online in the US now, but I don't think it was the Home shop.

For second, I don't think it would be a good idea for you and me to get within a square inch of each other... I have the worst case of wanderlust at the moment, and I'm worried we might enable each other to run off and never come back. Would that be so bad? ;)

    1. I have to admit I neglected my twitter account lately but thanks to you I am now following H&M USA and happy to report that we can shop their home collection now too.

Btw I can pack my bag in 5 minutes and run away with you to far away places. I have caught a very bad case of the traveling bug...

    2. I think I rest my case about not getting within a square inch of you! Or maybe I should...

    3. Maybe you should ;) But the thing about me is I always love coming home, so I could never only travel and would return you home safely after a while...

  7. Even though I just got back from a really long vacation I'd love to leave again right now. I've been traveling around Mexico for 6 weeks (that was 10 years ago. Just to make clear that I'm not always just traveling!) but unfortunately not to Tulum - the friend I was traveling with didn't want to go all the way to yucatan and I am so regretting that I didn't convince her then. Have fun planning!

    1. Maybe we all should become professional travelers ;) How fun would that be or maybe it would be like any other job and the traveling would loose its allure over time. Even though you didn't make it to Yucatan, you probably had a great trip.

  8. I have been to Chichen Itza but the best is stopping at one of the watering holes.. so bring your swim suit, There are these crazy holes with these waterfall things that people jump off of.. and the tour bus stops at them normally. It's kinda amazing.

No trips this year :( we want to do a month in Europe next year! yah!

    1. The online shop didn't open until the next day and I had no idea that they would be selling the home collection. That's what happens when you prepare post in advance ;)
