instagram obsession

In April 2012 Instagram was finally available for my Android phone and I have been hooked ever since. Before that I have already admired the Instagram photos of other people and have envied that they were able to order Stickygrams. Now I can order my own Stickygrams, a mini booklet with all my shots or even a little projector with my images. There are so many great ways to display your Instagram pictures or any kind of photos actually. Another great idea is to make a memory game out of it like Fluxi did with her vacation photos. If you browse the Internet there are so many great diy ideas floating around that it's hard to try them all. Not sure what way I will go, if I will be able to reach a decision with all these great options to choose from. Have you printed out some of your Instagram pictures or any photos lately? I kind of miss having paper photos...

  1. After we went to Nantucket, I made little spiral books of our trip. One for us, and one for our hosts. I used prinstagram and was really pleased with the results. I keep thinking I want to do something else, more poster collages or somesuch. In my photography courses, we always printed our photos, and it made such a difference. I've gotten out of the habit, and I need to get back in.

    1. That is so sweet of you and such a nice gift. have to remember to do something similar if I ever stay with friends again. Took a photography class in college and part of the class was to learn how to develop the photos yourself, which was so fun.

  2. Nice, now you just need to choose the photos to use, easy :)
I have been planning a huge canvas image from some of our trips to hang in the living room, but I just cannot figure which picture...

    1. I just checked and I have 577 photos in my Instagram, that will be so easy to choose my favorites but I see you have a similar problem with your vacation photos ;)

  3. I love Instagram (and I love your photos on Instagram) but I never take enough photos! I think the idea of printing them out is incentive enough for me to stop being so lazy with the camera!

    1. Thanks Meghan! Even I feel that I never take enough photos but sometimes I totally forget to snap one because I am having so much fun doing what I am doing...

    1. Oh, yes the many options and photos to choose from definitely make it hard to reach a decision. As if I haven't a hard time to make decisions on a regular basis ;)

  5. The little projector is so cute and smart! I haven't even thought about doing anything with my Instagrams. I love the idea of fridge magnets, but I haven't taken the plunge yet and ordered any. Maybe I'll do it after the wedding! Have my friends use a hashtag for the day and then print those out. Hmm, now you've got me thinking! xo

    1. That is a great idea to turn your wedding photos into fridge magnets and the hashtag too! That way we can also be there virtually..xo

  9. I got some of my instagram pictures printed by origrami and was really happy with it - they print them out in "polaroid style" and I think that goes really well with the not so high resolution of the images. They ship from australia (for free!) so it takes a while until they arrive, but it's worth the wait.

    1. Having them printed out like polaroids sounds cool. I will definitely look into that. Your so right about that working well with the more grainy resolution, also with some of the faded filters etc...
