Wow, week three was a fast one. I didn't even take a lot of photos. The weekend I spent at a friends house in the Catskills with a group of friends. We went snowboarding on Saturday and Sunday, both days were gorgeous and sunny. It was my first day back on the slopes this year and today my whole body aches, I feel every muscle in my body. I decided to go offline for the weekend and didn't work on any posts for this coming week. That's also why I didn't prepare a post for today and it will be a very short one...Oh, well it's just going to be more work to get the posts ready in the next couple of days. How was your weekend? Hopefully equally good as mine!

So incredibly jealous of your 'mountain time' - I've got to find a way to get out there this season
ReplyDeleteI cross my finger that you will be able to get some mountain time soon!
DeleteThat sounds like such a fun weekend! And I don't even snowboard. I skied once and almost killed myself, haha. But I can relate to feeling achey the next day. My weekend was nice and quiet, thankfully. Almost lazily so. Oh who am I kidding, it was lazy. xoxo
ReplyDeleteLazy weekend sounds good too! We also hung out after hitting the slopes and watched movies and ate a lot. Of course the great company didn't hurt either...
DeleteSo glad you took time to have fun and "disconnect"! I'll have to pick your brain about the Catskills next time I see you.
ReplyDeleteSometimes disconnecting is important, it really helped that I didn't have any reception where we stayed, otherwise I might have been tempted to take a peek what is going on on the internet ;)
Deletei have tried snowboarding but the few times i went up it wasn't "powdery" but super icy and after three experiences with that i decided i didn't want to go back and accumulate any more lacerations and bruises ; ) i like to think if the conditions would have been different i might have enjoyed it, it is an excellent work out!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I don't like the icy patches either. My first three times I was badly bruised from falls too but the fourth time I was able to get down the mountain without falling and it started to be really fun. I only started when I was 30 already and my biggest problem is my fear of falling and breaking something. When I see the fearless little kids zipping down the mountain I am envious of them...
DeleteIt's so much fun. I even had fun when I started learning it and I spent most of my time on my knees or butt ;)
ReplyDeleteThat was to right decision to go off. As we spend so much time in front of the PC, it can be so relaxing just to shut down all channels.
ReplyDeleteIt was definitely a good decision, now I am motivated for the new week...
DeleteSo envious of your weekend in the snow! I don't really do any winter sports, but I enjoy snowy weather so much, and Cal loves to ski! We're still hoping to make a quick trip to maybe Lake Placid or somesuch for spring break, but we just have to wait and see how things play out around here. You're a smart woman and I'm glad you had fun!
ReplyDeleteI have been to Lake Placid for a long weekend and really enjoyed it. Hope you will get to go! Getting out for a weekend and spent it offline recharged me for hopefully the next couple of weeks...
DeleteI always think it's amazing that you can go from the cramped and bustling city to wide open spaces in under a day! I've never been snowboarding before for fear that I will most likely die but I admire those who have the bravery to do it! Hope you enjoy the rest of the week!
ReplyDeleteI am constantly fearing I might break something that's why I never will be a great snowboarder but I still enjoy it ;) I am in a great spot in the winter I can go to the mountains, in the summertime I can go to the beach, all within a couple of hours...
DeleteOH, you had me at snowboarding. [smile] I want to be right where you are in picture number 2 and 3. Looks like you all received some great weather. Always a plus when snowboarding. Happy you took a break and went offline for a bit. Sometimes you just need to give yourself that break.
