week thirty two

Week thirty-two was pretty uneventful besides starting a new clothes project. I want to wear everything in my closet so I am using it to its full potential and not buy more things that get forgotten after wearing it a couple of times. That polka dot tee hasn't see any action for more than a year and I loved wearing it. It will be worn more often now. On Friday night we watched the New York Red Bulls play Houston Dynamo. The game was pretty slow but the Red Bulls managed to win 2:0 in the end...

The weekend was pretty relaxing but I also get some work done. I have painted the door frame in the vestibule and also laid the floor, which meant I was on my knees for about 4 hours yesterday. My whole body hurts but it was well worth it. I will show the vestibule next week, yesterday it was already too dark to take decent photos. Because I had so much energy yesterday I put it to good use and also painted an old table top white that I want to turn into a sewing/crafting table. More on that later as well...

What have you been up to last weekend?

  1. I love all the shots you take looking down at your feet. It's so neat to see what you were wearing and what your day was like (the umbrella, the soccer pitch in the background, etc). I think you could do a whole series on just that! And I love the idea of wearing everything in your closet, I think I should follow suit. I have tons of things I wear once and then forget about. Have to change that up!

Congrats on making progress in the vestibule, but sorry you're hurting today! I bet it looks awesome, though, and the pain was well worth it! Very excited to see pics of the space :)

    1. I hope I am not attracting any foot fetichists with those shots ;) Already thought about turning that into a series, have to thing about how to incorporate it into the blog. My legs are still a little sore from Sunday but it was definitely worth it. You'll see next week ;)

  2. As usual, I think your weekend was way more productive than mine. Did go out to Ocean City yesterday. Have you been?

  3. Fun - GO DYNAMO! The new stadium they have here is quite amazing from what I hear. The clothing project is a really good idea. Just thinking about it makes me want to clean out my closet. There are things in there I haven't worn in years, for sure

    1. I cleaned out my closet in the spring and was amazed what I owned, whatever I didn't wear in years had to go. Some items I couldn't part with I kept and tried to wear it but some things I didn't feel comfortable in etc. and I got rid of it too. It felt pretty good in the end but the process was somewhat painful ;)

  4. I always love seeing the little glimpses of your outfit, and love your taste in clothes. Cobalt polka dots with yellow flats and those black tennis shoes - yes, please. ;) I think it's a great goal you've made to wear all the things in your closet and refrain from purchasing new items. Retailers have all their summer stuff on sale and their new fall items coming in, so they're not making it easy not to shop.
Glad you were able to work on the vestibule. Go, Nina! Our weekend included some camping. ;)

    1. Thank you Theresa! I try to avoid my favorite stores because I can't resist a good deal and already love what I am seeing for fall. Glad you guys made it back in one piece and nobody had a run-in with a bear.
